built d series advice

Default built d series advice

ok so as of the moment im in the process of building a d16y7...basically its a piston rod motor as of the moment..im running bisimoto pistons with a 9.1 comp.and bisi steel rods. now the motor is no where near done but the goal is 400+ whp...my question is what size turbo would you run to make that sort of power? any help is greatly appreciated

I wouldn't go with an SC61 for what you looking for. S256, would be my first choice, for the power a 57 trim could make it easily as well. The SC61 would shift your power ban so far up, you probably wouldn't enjoy it very much. (I have owned a SC61 Z6)

MY question is how much hp can you run and be safe without sleeving?

Also are these turbo's fairly inexpensive??

They Range From 700 up to 1500

there is a 600whp sohc unsleeved on this site, forgot his name though. and lots and lots of 400whp sohc's running all around unsleeved and getting beat on daily.
