MASS CALLING 2ND GEAR TO AMERICAN HONDA
http://www.*************/forums/mech...can-honda.html
***MODS FEEL FREE TO MAKE THIS A STICKY OR MOVE TO BEST LOCATION, THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO ANY VEHICLE WITH THE K-SERIES TRANNY W/ GRINDING ISSUE***
"Please only make a post if you're acknowledging your participation in this event so we can get a good idea of how many people will be calling. Say "CALLING" or "DOWN" followed by a comment.
Well American Honda claims to not know about our problem with 2nd gear. Let's let them know. The 8th civic community is huge and so is the number of people driving civics with a fckd up 2nd gear. Our numbers being so large can be a huge advantage to us.
What I'm asking here is for everyone with the seond gear problem to call American Honda on September 28th (next monday) around 12-2pm (or at least during business hours if you can't make the timeline)
What you'll need:
September 28th (Next monday)
American Honda's #: 1-800-999-1009
Your VIN number.
When you call just state your problem with second gear as well as how dissapointed/pissed/frustrated you are, past experiences with dealerships, etc etc anything that will help."

I thought the tsb was about the third gear, so now whats the deal about second gear? Also why did the rsx-s not have this problem? Isn't the only difference lsd?
And whos gonna take you seriously with that avatar pic anyways lol

So, when there's a problem with your car, you just sit back and let that $hit happen?
my third is fine, but for some reason, first to second gear feels very wierd. sometimes its not there, sometimes it wont go in, and sometimes the throw from first to second feels really short.
I was told it may be a shift linkage problem, b/c my third to fourth is there all the time, but the throw feels kinda short sometimes.

i just made a more humiliating post
while you were being concise.
good job av.
you want to be my friend? lol
av911 is saying you should do something, and that calling isn't pointless. It's the same thing that happened with the 3rd gear grind/pop out. People called and created a ruckus until Honda owned up to it.
Supposedly, well over 100 people have already called after a similar post on 8th.
OP "used" to have an ASM car then got a different one, if I remember correctly from when he first started appearing on here. I know I remember making fun of his pic.

Say what you will, my 2nd feels night and day once I started using the Amsoil fluid. I have used Honda, Motul and now Amsoil. And Amsoil by far is the best.
ok just because your 2nd gear is messed up doesnt mean honda is going to fix it. they may bring out a tsb about it, but when u go to the dealer and they drive your car, theyre gonna say "it didnt grind when we drove it" or "we figured out the problem is from your abusive driving" and they're gonna scoot you right out of line. everyone should know how dealers are. a bunch of lazy f*cks.
Your whole trans prob feels night and day. Sure, its a better MTF but it doesn't fix the actual problem. It's just an over priced bandaid.
who said rsx-s didn't have the problem? they have the same problems as us. go search up clubrsx and you will see how many complaints they have.
I agree it is somewhat of a over priced bandaid. But my trans was never really that bad to begin with. It just felt notchy at times never grinded or wouldn't go in gear. So the Amsoil took care of the notchyness.
