My buddy has a set of Wiseco pistons that are rated for nitrous and not turbo. Is he going to melt a piston or ruin something? Is running nitrous pistons with a turbo set-up really a "bad" idea? They are forged. Keep in mind he will have it tuned and all the necessary mods to support the kit. Thanks in advance.
im going to assume that the "nitrous " pistons are just high compression. I know very little on tuning a car, but Im going to say anything over 9.5:1 on a turbo car is going to require race fuel to keep from detonating. someone please correct me if Im on the wrong path here. Im just trying to help the guy since noone else is responding.

The compression ratio is 10.5:1 but I have a thicker gasket to compensate. Even if I did have to run higher octane; that would be fine, as it's not a DD. Any more info out there?
i ran my h22 at 10.5:1 @ 366whp @ 10psi for 3 years/40000 miles with no issues on pump gas...

from what I have been told 10:5:1 is ok to boost. The Tune has to be on point. thats the most imprtant rule to remember. Get it tuned on 93 and ride I think when you go up past 11:1 thats when race fuel is required... and at that point turbo should be wayy out of question

I was just wondering if they were made out of a different metal or not forged or something like that. He'll be fine with what is there then, unless he wants to pay for something else.
