Default 300hp gsr catch can/pcv advice

ok ive read the stuff in the FAQ but im still a little lost.... i know u can weld in the valve cover and run a train back in one of those extremely expensive setups... im not lookin to drop 250 on a simple catch can... I heard you can hook up to the pcv valve between it and this intake mani. i also heard u can vent it off the back of the block..

which one can i do for lowest cost on a 300 whp car?

You can buy a Endyn kit for decent price. I've used those on low HP cars.

do you have to have it recirculating to prevent it from filling up when u use the back of the block fittings?

No you can empty it at will. Recirculating is just a convenience.

i heard that if u run it off the back of the block without the recirculation it will fill up fast because of oil being pushed up in front of the air and not being able to drain back down

As you go to install the z10 kit you will remove the pcv valve and catch can that is stock... once you're done installing the z10 kit you will not have any place to re-install the stock stuff.

Oh wait the kit doesn't come with the breather box plug... you should get one of those... you just pull off the breather box... it might be held on by some 10mm bolts but might not either.

get a simple can and u can drain it directly to the oil pan if you prefered. and then just put a freeze plug on the back of the block where the pcv box is. Honestly, if your motor is fresh and you're making less than 400whp, i wouldn't worry about it over filling. if it has a filter on top, then you can let the blow by gas escape. some cans don't have that, so make sure you get one that does. i personally would run two lines to the can with no drain back. I'm sure you won't fill it up with a low hp goal and a fresh motor.

i use to have a open atmosphere setup on my b16a, but there got to be so much mositer in the oil i had white **** all over mixed with the oil( yes the headgasket was good) if u wanted to get rid of the the gases could you run them into your exhaust? im gonna be boosting a h22a soon shooting for 400hp and want to get rid of the stock pcv system.

i was thinking a closed catch can setup is what im looking for?

OP if you want me to delete this let me know dont mean to thread jack
