I have 1990 CRX that has a odd problem.
Is a 1.5 engine and it seems at times after driving and a shut down it will not restart as if the fuel pump is not working.
If I sit there and wait for about 5 minutes it will start.
Any idea as to what this problem might be?

 

this happenned to me and it was the fuel pump.
maybe this could be your problem!

 

sounds like a bad main relay. does the fuel pump prime (it will hum) when you turn the key to the on position? if it doesnt then its bad, and it might work sometimes because this problem is typically intermittent.

main relay by far and maybe something with spark bad ignitor or fauled plugs

 

i'm having a fuel problem with my crx too. but mine is that my top fuel injector isn't getting power and was just wondering if any of you guys could help with this

 

yea sounds like the main relay... i had the same problem on my 1992 honda accord and my 1991 crx.... the main relays solder is prolly getting dried up and is causing bad connection which is VERY common on the older honda cars... u can either take the main relay out located under the steering column and resolder the connection or just get a new one for pretty cheap dont get used one
