anyone with a garrett gt35r
at what rpm is everyone starting and then reaching full boost with this turbo. I have a built type-r that i'm planning on putting this turbo on but just wanted to get an idea of the spool rate. I am shooting for around 500hp and have already checked the compressor mapping and it is well within the hp range. thanks-
35r's typically make full boost between 5000-5500 rpm depending on the combo.
unfortunatly the curser is in the wrong spot on this log to show spool up. this is a race motor that honestly makes more power than it should IMO. .63 T3 35r

i was looking at the 3076 to start with but wasn't sure if it would have enough top end but i think i'm going to have to take a second look at it. what a/r would you suggest for it? -thanks for the replies everybody.
I would still suggest the GT35R, (or if you're open to journal bearing, GT3540S or Borg-Warner S262) if the 550whp is your goal. Why push the turbo past its efficiency point to make peak hp at one spot, when the whole point is to have a larger range of top end power? There's no need to increase Pressure Ratios and Intake Air Temps that high when simply a larger unit will do the job. Yes, it is a bit "laggier" than a 30R, but anything trying for 550whp on a FWD street should expect that anyway.
