Default Making USDM b18c5 CA legal

I have a 1994 civic 4-door with a 2001 b18c5. I am not sure what steps i need in order to make this CA street legal so i can get a BAR sticker? Can anyone steer me in the right direction. I am running a chipped p28 right now. Thank you in advance

Basically, you need to make your car an itr now. That means, you need all the emissions stuff and ecu off an itr.

Every single part of the emission equipment minus the cat needs to be obd2b.

pretty much your best bet is to try and bard it with a obd1 gs-r ecu and run those type of emissions..but youll well have to change somethings into a obd1 considering your motor is a obd2b...because youll cant run a 0bd2 or higher ecu in a 0bd1 car.. you can use a conversion harness for a obd2b ecu but they are illegal to go to the state bard...

You will need to cut the plugs off the underdash harness and replace them with OBD2B units, you will need to run an '00 - '01 USDM ITR ECU (you will have to have the immobilizer removed and replaced, PM Katman, he can do the immobilizer removal). You will need to wire in the DLC connector for plugging in an OBD2 scanner. You will need to swap the fuel tank for an Integra unit with the fuel pressure sensor (which you will need to wire in). You will have to wire in the CKF sensor back to the ECU. You will also need to wire in the secondary O2 sensor. That should be everything or at least most of it.

Now this guy knows his stuff!!! This is exactly what you need to do. Which is why I went with a 95 GS-R B18 in my 93 SI. Much easier.

Jeez sounds like its more work then i had originally planned. Thanks for all the tips. Should i contact the BAR and see if they can let me know exactly what they need?

Does the DLC come seperate from the engine wiring harness? Also is the OBD2 style evap canister neccessary?

You can call the BAR and pay like $45 dollars and they will tell you what needs to be done to pass. in a nut shell everything from a 2000-2001 relating to emissions needs to be added to pass the bar.
