Default Megan mid/b pipe

would a mid pipe with stock ep3 muffler be any louder than stock midpipe? i like the look of the stock muffler and plus a midpipe is like 180 bucks and from what ive heard the ep3 stock muffler is pretty free flowing

correct the ep3 muffler is pretty free flowing!

As for a midpipe it will give a little bit of a deeper sound but you really need to get a race header cause you will be bottle-necking the exhaust line... which will cause no gain of power/ a loss of power!

a raceheader will bolt up correctly to the midpipe and fit perfect? how much gains you think? as for clearing codes i was gonna get a defouler on the second o2 sensor

Yes it will fit just fine. With my mid-pipe, DCRH, and SRI I gained 22whp over stock peak hp and about 6wtq, I went from 140whp bone stock to 162.6whp. That's without K-pro too! As for the defouler, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The best thing I can recommend after (or before) your purchase would be to get K-Pro and get it all tuned together.

Any experiance with the megan twin tip muffler? My stock ep3 muffler was replaced with something else when I purchased it.

Picking up a stock 05-06 dc5 exhaust would be nice if I could find one.

I was surprised as well, very pleased! Both tests; stock and after install, were performed on the same dyno as well. I made 2 pulls, first one made 161.3 whp in 3rd gear, second pull made 162.6 in 4th gear. It sounds good but a little raspy. I get a lot of comments about it, good and bad. Not everyone likes it, but what ever, it's not for them

I can make one today but it most likely won't be that good because I have a massive exhaust leak lol. Damn you DCRH

The quality of Megan Racing exhaust components is pretty good for the price in the experience I have had. I have their header on my EP3 and has been excellent so far. I have a friend with a Megan Racing 4 inch muffler on a customer exhaust. It is on a Mazda MX3 with a 2.5 V6 and custom piping. It sounds and looks great.
