Stand alone Fuel Pressure and wrong fuel pumps??
I was reading hondata about fuel pressure and what not... I am in the process of breaking in my motor and i upgraded the whole fuel system (8an feed, 6an return, paxton fuel filter, paxton adj fpr, walbro 255 high pressure intank). Well... i had problems with it bogging down under 2k rpms really bad. I did not run the FMU because i was not planning on taking it under boost, so i had the paxton fpr set at about 42psi and then tried 50psi and it was a little more responsive but still hesitant under 2k rpm. So i took the fpr off and put the stock fpr on and fmu back on and it runs great now. Im going to wait to put the paxton fpr back on until i put the hondata 4b on? This might be a dumb question, but i see walbro has a "255 ltr/hr pump kit" and "High-Pressure 255 ltr/hr pump kit". I purchased the high pressure one i believe... is this why it was bogging down really bad? Im new to fuel and fuel management so be gentle on me and any help is greatly appreciated.
here's something that may help you..

From the list there is barely any difference between the high pressure 255, and the regular 255, until you get up to 70 psi and beyond.
do you know what the base fuel pressure should be at?
sorry i couldn't be of more help...i would like to know the answer to your question also.

yes stock is 38-42, but my question is the 2 pumps... is the high pressure diff then the other and how?
the high pressure one can supply more fuel at higher pressures (90-120psi) than the low pressure one. other than that there's no real difference. Do you have an in-car fuel pressure gauge??
