I just recently bought a 92 EG CX. It has a D15b7. The check engine light was on so I checked it and it was the map sensor. Pop the hood, no map sensor or wires!!! What do I do now? Any ideas?

 

what code was it throwing?

 

Can't remember but 92's and 93+ are difference.
I don't remember which way, but one yr the map is on the firewall and the other is on the TB.

It's throwing a code 3. Yeah its not there at all! I have looked everywhere on the firewall and on the TB.

 

has the code been there or did it recently start thowing the code?

 

The code was on when I got it.

 

is there just a random spot on the top of your TB where the map goes?

 

No, there is a place where it looks like a mount should be on the firewall for it. There are no scew or bolt holes on top of the TB.

 

Sounds like you are going to need to do some wire loom searching. You are going to be looking for three wires: a White wire that will go to terminal #1 on your map sensor, a green-blue or green-white (could be either, sorry) this wire will go to terminal # 2, and yellow-green or yellow-red (again could be either) this wire will go to terminal # 3. All of these wires will come from connector D on your pcm, terminals 17, 21, & 19, respectively. Once you have the wires you will want to buy a map sensor and plug it in, you know, homemade style! grab a vacuum line and hook it up to manifold vacuum and grab a zip tie and secure that baby! Bam! you got a map sensor! Good luck buddy
