Broken Peice on Y8....Dont know what it is
Hey guys. So i have a fully built turbo D16Y8 and I accidentally hooked a plastic stem yesterday and it broke. I need to pick a replacement part up today but i have no idea what it is and how to describe it to the parts guy. So if somebody can give me some advice on what this is called or even a HONDA part number, that would be great.
Here are some pics:
If your standing in front of the car facing the engine bay, this peice is to the left of the Intake manifold, and slightly to the right of the thermostat. As you can see in the 1st pic, the tube that connects to this peice is just beside. The stem is still stuck in the tube.....the pick was taken from the top.

I hope you guys can help me out!
thanks

The car is not starting at the moment, therefore i cant say whether or not it runs differently

wtf is that used for? Why is it not on any of the other D16 Engines. I guess in 99 they just forgot how to make motors so they started adding more sensors and useless **** that they never needed before. And they also started changing the shapes of the plugs because apparently they lost the molds for things like distributor plugs.
I thought it was for helping the engine warm up quicker or something. It's got to be an emissions thing.
And Jesse, the people at Autozone are just plain confused as it is. They tried to tell me there is no such thing as a Chrysler Intrepid... Kinda like Dodge Neon versus Plymouth Neon.

i think its for warm up cause i took out the hose for it on mine 2000 d16y8 on cold warm up, and rpm dropped and died out. so i think its for warm ups for better atomization for the air/fuel.
Exactly. My car dies when i cold start it unless i give it gas. I super glued it back together and its all good now!
