how to wire sub to stock radio???
i have a 04 s2k radio in my eg6 and i wanna add a sub to it...i know i need an amp but what do i need to wire it and make it work...ima use a stock rsx-s sub and amp because i want bass but nothing too much and nothing visable since i have the jdm interior with no cargo cover.... has anyone done this before? any write ups would be perfect since ill be doing this soon...
yes an oem s2k cd player and a rsx-s spare sub...ill be changing the 8" sub with an aftermarket soon after since i know i wont hear much from the stock rsx-s sub but i just like the whole spare tire thing...i know i need a 150w amp.. if i put the stock sub on and it works fine, is it a mission to put a 8' jl audio sub in there or do i have to wire it differently....thanks in advance...

Okay so a line out converter and i hook that up where. I think to the rear speakers? And what about the thin blue line that goes to the amp i think its remote does that goe to the loc also?
blue remote wire- this is a signal that goes 12v + when the radio turns on- you can catch this signal at the fuse box or behind the radio (ACC), this will tell the amp to come on as well, or any 12v+ source that is powered by ignition or happens to power when hu comes on.
LOC - yea you can catch it at the rear speakers, i always go behind the hu, the only time i have ever resorted to doing it on rear speakers was once when i did a land rover- PITA!

okay looks easy so i just need that loc and run a batt positive to the amp then tge remote to a 12+ then connect the subs and im good to go right. Oh and if i put a capacitor that runs between the power cable right

The factory sub will not be able to handle the power of the aftermarket amp very long at all. Factory sub don't use alot of power they are just very efficient with the low power the factory amps put out.
but you connect the power wire to the cap and then to the amp.
