can i use the amp i have for my speakers on a 99-00 oem si radio??
i have two amps now but, im taking out the sub and sub amp. the only reason im not taking out the speaker amp is beacause i dont know how to wire the speakers back to the stock radio.
any help or anyone know if i can use my amp with the oem radio??

anyone want to buy my audio stuff im taking out??

Yes you can use the stock deck. But you either need an amp that has high level inputs or you need a modulator thingy that creates RCA output for the deck.

These wiring colors are for a 99...so I can't promise they'll be the same as a 00.
Your switched power wire would be the yellow/red wire.
The rear speaker wires are
Right: red/yellow for the + and brown/white for the -
Left: Blue/yellow for the + and Grey/white for the -

if you get the modulator thing that puts RCA outputs you will take the spkr wires out the back of the radio into the modulator then run RCA's to your amp then you'll have to run an amp on you mids and highs

you need to buy a pac converter (a low level converter) that you wire in behind your stock deck and plug rca's into. what it does is takes some signal from your speaker wires coming out of the deck which is known as high level, and turns them over to low level signal which is what rca cable carry. just make sure you get an adjustable low level converter, they work a lot better.

can you get pics of behind your radio so we can see how the speaker wiring was done? You may be able to run completely stock if you want to.

YOu can definitely use an amp with your stock deck. I am using mine and i am also powering (4) 6"x9" sony explods and (1) Rockford 12".

I have a line level converter that will allow you to hookup an amp to a deck that doesn't have rca outputs (or if your amps dont take in high level inputs). Used it for like a week until I decided to get a new head unit. Its a good converter made by Stinger. PM me if you're interested

You can get an LOC (line out converter) for around 20 or 30 bucks, just hook it up to your speaker wires that are in your back, what it will do is give you RCA outs that you can run to your amp, then run new speaker wire from your amp to your speakers (obviously). It's not hard at all, promise.

do you have the stock radio for the si i would like to buy that and also does it have the 2 clips in the back and a place for a cd canger

I got an Si radio...the in-dash cd player. It can accept a cd changer...what clips are you talking about?
