Default cleaning fuel system?

i found that there was dirt and metal coming out of the gas lines at the fuel filter, so i got a new filter and now i just drained the tank and there was dirt and metal and the gas is really dark brown, i just filled the tank 2 weeks ago and have been driving it so it hasnt sat. it runs bad and seems like it doesnt get enough gas probably because this **** is clogging everything. so im gonna drop the tank, how do i go about cleaning it out? and what else do i need to do to make sure everything isnt all clogged up? just run injector cleaner after cleaning the tank?

Default Re: cleaning fuel system?

i took off the tank and now that all the gas is out it looks pretty clean inside, cant see anymore dirt or anything shining a flashlight in. should i just get a new pump strainer and fuel filter and put it back together, then run a few tanks with injector cleaner? could this fix my low fuel pressure problem or is it something else like the fpr?
