94 si. og motor/tranny. 2nd gear is harder than the rest to go in. doesnt pop out or anything. like i cant slam it in. regular driving is kinda hard too. but not impossible. clutch?

 

Does it grind if you try to slam it in? like if your driving fast or at high rev's?

Odd. If there were I would say synchros,... Have you checked the condition of your shifter bushings? they could just be worn, or falling apart. Other than that I don't know. Good luck.

I would say either your shifter, or just 2nd is pooping out.

Had a somewhat similar problem like that in my old hatch, only it was 1st gear, ended up being the synchros. Then the tranny finally had enough of it and put a big *** crack on the bottem of the tranny.

Someone makes a urethane set. I have a set in my car and I personally love them. They're a little stiff so it takes a bit of play out of your shifter but is still very smooth. If yours are bad they're worth a shot. only like 12 bux.
