Default swapping fuel pumps, need some advice

ok so im on my way to being boosted, and i bought a walbro 255 fuel pump. i know most other civics you can just lift the rear seat and install the fuel pump, but with ef's you have to drop the tank. how difficult is it to do this? ive never done it before, so any advice would help. thanks in advance

It is a cake walk...

Support the gas tank some how like with a floor jack and a block of wood. Loosen or remove the two nuts on the "J" Bolts and remove the straps or at least let them hang. Slowly lower the tank down until you can get at the fuel pump hanger without Bering any lines. Remove the lines if you need to (I have left them on but you might have to bend some). If you remove everything then you can just do the swap outside of the car. Put it all back in and SHAMWOW!!!! You are done.

just did it on a 89 4 door ef and it was pretty straight foward. I would suggest before dropping the tank all the way there are some lines you should remove on the driver side.

Its really simple once u drop the 2 bolts holding the straps down tank just slides down. and take the bolts off and the gasket then the pump comes out and put the new one in.
