Default Installation Instructions needed

So i got me a new fuel pump and neither me nor my friends can figure out on how to remove the old pump and install the new one. Can some one provide instructions? Also, what can i look for in the old pump that would make it obviously a bad pump.

You have to remove the gas tank, which is under the back half of the car. This requires unbolting several fuel lines as well as the two giant straps that hold the gas tank in place. The fuel pump is located on the back near the filler neck (where you put the gas), it is INSIDE the tank, you will see the assembly you have to unbolt and remove once you have accessed the top of the gas tank.......If you need detailed info, go to Autozone and pick up a Haynes manual, they run about $14 and are worth every penny.........

R u sure about that???? dont u just gotta remove ur back seats and unscrew the fuel pump cover thats on the right hand side of the car. after u unscrew it, u remove the cover then unbolt the few bolts on there. from there, the fuel pump can be lifted out and replaced? i dont think u need to drop the fuel tank.

Use this link...it's a Helms manual...it should help explain how to take out the fuel pump...or at least be somewhat of a guide for you guys to work through

The SENDING UNIT is under the back seat! The FUEL PUMP is on the back top side of the gas tank near the filler neck......Check out a service manual!
Mike1486, post back if you have trouble and I'll scan a pic of it for you.....
