Ok, as a precursor, a week ago i had to change my ignition coil because the car wouldn't start all of a sudden, while i was trouble shooting i also changed the fuel filter.

fast forward to now and for some reason (and this doesn't always happen) but at a red light, while in drive (yes it's auto) my car's rpm will drop below 1k and the car will have a rough idle and the A/C will stop cooling, just sends out warm air.

Then i hear a loud squeak from the belts, the a/c stops cooling until i start driving.

any ideas?

 

up, it's happening more often, and the mechanic said it could be "hundreds of things" which doesn't really make sense considering what i've told him.
