It's either at the point RonJ pointed out, or inside where that arm pivots on the tranny case. If you can't find "urea grease", just use "moly" (molybdenum disulfide, ARP lube). WD-40 is kerosene-based and evaporates over time. I only use WD-40 if I'm at a friend's house who has nothing else, and it's not mission-critical...
When my Ranger clutch started squeaking, it was the throwout bearing. Left me stranded in an intersection when it failed a couple of days after I tried the WD-40 on the pedal assemblies.
The Ranger was RWD with the T/O Bearing fairly close to the pedal so it was hard to tell where the squeak was coming from. Open your hood and have someone pump the pedal to see if it sounds like it's coming from the trans/engine/clutch area as opposed to the pedal. Or take it to a trans shop for an estimate.
