Default b16 b18

i have a jdm b16a in my da 92 integra. i want to get a b18 bottom end with my b16 heads to get a type r feel. do you people recommend that or shall i get a b18c1 swap? i think the b16 heads and b18 block will make more sense cuz the b16 heads have better flow, plus its a little cheaper. please advise

I am doing that as we speak. I have a Jdm b18C gsr bottom end, and I am goign to use my b16 head on it. I would do it if you have a readily available bottom end.

B16 head +
B18a/b = Ls vtec

Go to the Allmotor forum and there is a great thread on "how to build a reliable lsvtec/b20 vtec".

Better than a stock ls block with a b16 head yes. Also easier to slap together. LS VTEC's are rewarding but cost more and need block work to be reliable

Heh. Don't do it! Not no LSvtec in California, you'd get pulled over for it when you get caught! Hah. Jk.

If you want to save some money, just sell your B16A block and get a B18C/1 block and slap your B16A head and you are ready to go!.

Unless you really want to feel the "R". Just get a complete R swap (:

yeah, thats what i wanted from the getco, b16head with b18c1block. an entire type r swap wouldnt be worth the $ for me. besides, this is just my daily, i have a supra that i'm really building up.
