Default What to do to make horn blow when alarm triggered?

I have a Viper791xv. Looking to find information on how to make the horn blow when the alarm is set off. Right now the siren is plenty loud, but id like to throw the horn in there to add to the noise level. Any ideas/diagrams?

Thanks

IIRC the 791-5900 series has a neg output (250ma) to work a horn.

Hi, so just tie my horn negative into this wire? No relay needed?

Thanks

If the horn pulls less than 250mA and needs a ground to activate, then no relay is needed. However if it pulls more, you risk frying that part of your brain's circuitry, which may power other things. It will most likely melt or burn, but that will be just as bad, if not worse.

All you'd have to do is find the wire that activates the horn, or wire the horn directly, to your respective alarm wire and/or relay wire.

Mine says 200mA and it's a Viper 5601. I supposed I could hook it directly to the horn but I'm want to run a relay from the alarm's horn output wire to my piezo sirens and horn. Then program the horn function to full alarm output only. That way the piezos and horn don't go off when arming/disarming.

you can do that .. only if your remove your siren .. the siren output is programmable to 12v out or pulse 12 v out . you will need the pulse v12 out to make the horn honk. if not switch and you just hook it up to the horn it will just sound like someone is resting they head on the steering wheel. hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. untill you disarm it..

Not to jack but I've changed my mind. I changed my settings to only light flash during arm/disarm and just gonna run the piezos with the main siren, then the horn by itself.
