D16 MOTOR BUILD.. HELP!!
Y8s not bad theres a lot of parts for the d series and the parts are cheaper cus everybodys trying to get parts for the b series. My d16y8 has a supercharger kamikaze headers 2.5" exhaust and AEM intake and i got 230 HP so you can get decent pull off a d sereis block. if you plan on going more then that rebuild the block and head before you put it in your car
yea, go with the Z6, its tried and true. The slight difference in stock power is from the obd2 ecu but theres much more crap to deal with on obd2. (unless you planned on running obd1 anyway) but the Z6 is definitly a better motor and is much more reliable than the Y8.
I actually have an extra Z6 block sitting here if you are interested in buying it PM me and we can work out a price.
