Default What ratio FMU do I need with 450's?

Like stated earlier, this is for a 1996 GSR, w/ Greddy Turbo

If I put the 450s the came with my car, and go the route of FMU what ratio would I need to for 5-7 psi?

Also is a VAFC NECESSARY??? or a fuel pump? I have heard that the stock pumps are good for a little over 300hp?

Thanks again

ON a side question?

Is it possible to run the stock injectors on my set-up in anyway?

dont use the fmu with the 450 injectors. you will not be able to idle your car. all you need in the vafc with the 450 and your stock pump will be fine for 300hp.

Without the AFC, you won't idle, or you'll idle like crap and eventually shoot yourself. An FMU isn't neccesary for 5-7psi and 450cc injectors, so just run the AFC-trick with those injectors and you'll be fine to upwards of 10+psi, though on a stock compression B18C1, I'd keep it to around 8psi max.

ok

so do I need a SAFC? or a VAFC?

and what would settings should I use to keep it idling ok?

THis is keeping it the stock greddy boost, which is 7psi

For a GS-R, V-AFC. -45% at idle seems to idle most cars just fine.

ALright, Thanks a lot guys,

I was having difficulties deciding what I was going to do

Are there any other settings on the VAFC that I would need to do?

I'm assuming that I don't need the FMU because the injectors will compensate for my fuel??

Also do I still need the missing link? or some sort of FCD?

Thanks in advance.

Vtec in Miami, how much would you charge to install my turbo kit? Thanks

Mick

No kind of missing link needs to be used with the afc hack. I dont think the afc hack will even work with the missing link.

Hmm,

so do run the 450's with the Greddy Turbo set-up

All I need is the 450's and a VAFC??

I dont' need the missing link, FMU, or a higher flowing fuel pump??

WOW, Honda engines compared to the 4g63 and the 420a engines are like night and day.....

Can somebody just verify for me that this is true, that all I need are the 450's and the VAFC? and nothing else.

ALso if somebody else could point me towards some basic settings on the VAFC, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys.

Mick

450's and the AFC are all you need, nothing else*. In fact, I am not even using the AFC, just the 450's and a small circuit that costs less than $10 to make, or filetofit (member on this board) can make you one for $20, shipped. I believe. It works really well. it doesn't allow the flexibility of the AFC, but most people do the same fuel trim across the whole rpm range, which is exactly what this does for practically nothing.

*note, you need a resistor box to use the injectors if they are dsms.

Damn,

Anybody else got any input on the circuit board idea vs. the VAFC? is it more important to use it on DOHC engine? I see that (ion four) has a D series SOHC, maybe it's more able to handle
