My spark plug cables are all messed up!
I bought my 96 EK off a guy a while ago and he put custom blue cables over the spark plugs, they are fat because they dont fit in the stock clips. Anyways I pulled them out today and every one is ripped up. Anyways im at my grandparents house and they live about 2 and a half hours away from where I live and im scared to drive my car home. So what do I need to do to change everything? I obviously need to change the cables right? Do I also need to change the spark plugs?
When you have the new plug wires, the diagram shows the order for attachment to the distributor cap. The cylinders are ordered 4-3-2-1 as you go from the distributor to the timing belt area.

Ok is this luck or what? My grandma was reading the newspaper and saw a coupon for 27% off all honda parts at the local dealer so I can pick up a OEM wire set for $65 plus each spark plug for like $3

Ok here are the pics. God it looks terrible! I guess its best we discovered this before any damage was done to the engine. Could this be why I was getting crappy gas mileage? I noticed that lately.

As long as you have the new wires and plugs, replace them and drive the car home.
Looks like you have some new small pieces on the car. You should be more concerned with getting it running good before you buy a oil filler cap. Unless you need one...
Your next thing to replace should be the Dizzy cap and rotor.
Those old wires will work but they are not the best thing for your car.
I would paint the valve cover just so it looks nicer. Seems like you want to do the right thing. Check out www.d-series.org for more help too.

OK guys I got the OEM wires and plugs. Holy **** it looks like the spark plugs have never been changed! They were all messed up, now the car starts right up! I love it what a difference.
spark plugs/wires are probably the easiest thing to do on a honda that makes a huge difference. that and BG 44k. you should buy a can of that and put it in your gas tank, will only do great things.
