Re: Muffler suggestions for stock piping
i think stock piping is 2.25' or 2.5'...but i would go with the es tuning oval muffler..best bang for your buck muffler..they run from 100-110 bucks...they sound nice and look some wat stock.

stock piping is like 1.5". 2.5" would be good enough for forced induction. You need to find out what size piping it is because if its the stock size you really wont get that much more power maybe a little because its new and the muffler wont really add more than 3-5 hp the power really comes from the piping but if anything go with the HKS one like $150-$200

Apexi WS2 axleback. It won't sound as good as the whole catback, but I can't imagine it's possible for that muffler to sound bad.

Re: Muffler suggestions for stock piping
i have an EK 98 and the stock muffler piping would be no greater than 2 inch - i think it's a bit bigger than 1.5 inch. If ur not running boost, then 2 inch is probably as big as you want to go - i have a 2 inch rear sports muffler and while it's not the loudest you can feel how much it has freed up the engine in letting it breathe easier. High-flow cat and cat-back 2inch piping to rear muffler is my next mod.
But i think any bigger than 2 inch without the proper mods and you're going to lose back pressure and performance (especially torque) will suffer. It might sound louder, but that doesn't mean it's faster...
Good luck mate,

Since you're in California, either stock or a Walker SoundFX. If you go with something that doesn't look stock, such as the Apexi WS2 (quietest aftermarket system as far as I know), cut off the tip and attatch normal pipe to it and paint the body of the muffler black. Whatever you do, stay stealthy.

Re: Muffler suggestions for stock piping
Well, I hav a 98 Accord...and I was thinkin abt putting a Remus exhaust on it...
Good idea or bad idea ??
I just want it to SOUND sexy ......
None of that Loud, firecracker sounding mess...
Somthing smooth and clean, but still sounds lyk it has some POWER behind it...any suggestions ???
And yes, Headers and a HiFlo Cat will be in the system to add the needed "UMPH". Lol
