somewhere on the top of the distributor where the top bolt is, mark a line. this is because when you install back the distributor, the timing is going to be right and not off by like 2-5 degrees. take off the three bolts that holds the distributor and unplug the two wire harness. prepare to wipe down the oil when you are going to pop off the distributor. if for any reason if it is too hard to install the distributor back where it came from, open the valve cover and you should line it up more easily.
