shift linkage problem..

Default shift linkage problem..

ok we got the motor out but were stuck on the linkage. how do you take off the pin that goes thru the whole at the end?

Get a punch or screw driver and beat that sum bitch out through the top ..takes some good hard hits

Yep just like that ...make sure its about as round as the PIN and knock it out as hard as you can good luck takes a few good hits and some patients
EDIT: Put the screw drivr or punch on the PIN then beat the end of the punch od screw driver with the hammer : just to clear things up

get a ac bolt and use a hammer to bang it out

8mm punch.need the same size punch as the pin or else you just spread it open more.also use some dub dee fody

I use a Snap-On quarter drive 6" extension. It works great and doesn't get stuck in the hole after you bang the pin out. Snap-On is great and so are Craftsman tools. You gotta love the lifetime warranty.
