Default turbo civics from Middle East...

Hey

I would like to introduce mine and my brothers cars ...

mine is a JDM type R ek9 running a turbo b18C, which was broght from Japan with all these stuff ..
head : JUN type 3 cams with A JUN valvetrain, stock ITR IM and TB
block: stock sleeves + JUN 81.25 8:5 comp pistons + JUN rods
Turbo setup: custom mani, Greddy TD07 25G, Trust wg 56mm, HKS IC.

the car is making 428 whp 275 ftlb torque on 17psi and c16...

the other car is our 4 years project, EG running turbo b16...
head: full ferrea components, 1mm OS valves, and ferrea roller rockers with crane cams, Venom IM and 70mm bbk TB.
block: stock sleeves, 81.5 cp 9:0 comp pistons with manely turbo tuff I beams rods and ACL race bearings.
turbo setup: revhard turbo kit, turbo notics T66, .81 ex housing with tail 38mm wg.

we finished dyno tunning the car 2weeks ago and the power wasnt what we were expecting.

the car made 388 whp and some where around 230 ftlb on 15psi and pump gas

we tested the car on the street and it was too laggy..
we are planning to switch to itr cams to gain some low-midrange power, because as you can see the car is not making any power at lower RPM..
what do you guys think ??? is it worth it or not???
is there any suggestions to fix the powerband of these cams specially the low-mid range...

We are waiting race session to start so we can see how these cars runs..

this is how they are sitting now..

Looks good, I bet gas is cheap, interesting wastegates.

Why such nice parts in a stock sleeve motor?

Is it me or does that seem like a bunch of power on such a small turbo at that boost? 428whp@17psi via a 25g

What engine management are you running? I'm guessing by the COP setup not the same on both?

Hey

thanx for the replies..

We are planning to retune the eg by the end of this week, more boost and race fuel..
We are looking for 500+whp...

what do you guys think if we switch to ITR cams, would it help the spool becasue we see full boost around 6700rpm..??!!

The ek still has some more on it, because the guy who I bought it from told me it made 620ps on 1.6bar, and it ran 11.5 on the drag radials..

I had tested the ek with the tires on the pictures, the car ran 13.9@ 122mph
The car was spinning like crazy.. it only griped a bit on 4th, I will try to post the vid..

We will be ordering slicks for both cars maybe next month...

Boosted_B_Series: the eg is running AEM EMS and the EK is F-con V pro..
