Default D16Y8 oil pump. Can you swap in a D16Z6 pump?

I read about all the horrors of the D16Y8 and the pump sucks, along with the lubrication system that was made with it. I have been looking forever and still havent found my answer.

Can you swap a D16Z6 oil pump onto the D16Y8 block? If so then this would solve some of the bearing failure problems that occur on these engines. But as a down side, I do not know if the increased flow from the Z6 pump will make pressures too high going into the crank. So I do not know if anything bad may happen. Anyone on here have a clue? Im getting my Y8 next week and have 2 spare Z6 pumps, I want to fix the failure problem and not deal with it again. atleast not for a while.

FYI. You can not put a D16Z6 pump on a Y8 block. The lower piece on the front lower side of the pump that is half mooned that goes towards the oil pan is different size. Also the Y8 pump is wider .

Im pretty sure of this because when i was cutting up my morso D16Z6 oil pan to put on my Y8 it did not fit on the front side. This was 3 years ago so im trying to see if i can find some pics for you.
