Code 59 isn't on the CEL list.

There is no code 59.
long flashes = 10's as in 1 long flash = code 10.
short flashes = 1's as in 1 short flash = code 1.

There for you could have 4 long followed by 3 short = code 43.

You could also see 2 long then a slight pause followed by 3 long and 1 short and then another pause and 1 long and 7 short. this string would = codes 20, 31 & 17.

So you see that you could have a combination of codes stored on this ECU and you need to watch the flashes closely to distinguish separate codes. These same codes will keep cycling through repeatedly until you turn off the ignition or remove the pin in the SCS connector.

If you really are getting a code 59. Verify that it is code 59 that the ECU is giving you and get a new ECU. That one is more than likely toast.
