Icon2 Need help with timing???

94 civic cx with a d16z6 and obd1 gsr harness. Everything stock.

I was adjusting my valves and wanted to check my timing also because smog was coming up. After checking timing (with the service connector jumped), I noticed that timing was off. Checked crank pulley and cam sprocket but everything lines up at tdc. Can't move distributor anymore because it's maxed out ( moved forward all the way...forget if that was advanced or retard lol). But even while moving the distributor either way, the mark doesn't align.

My only conclusion is that it is the ecu because it's a cx ecu (bought the car that way with that ecu..previous owner didn't have a p28). Any suggestions?? Need fixed before smogging.

everything works fine (idle, etc..) just w/o vtec and slow take off.

I would def try and get another ecu. Find a friend that has a ecu similar to your setup or a p28
