this might be the most stupidest question but i was wondering if it can be done on ek with a stock b16 why not on a newer si. Can you disconnect the exhaust piping after the headers without the car throwing a cel? I just wanna hear how it sounds open header sorry if it was a stupid question i'm just curious lol

 

Why not jack it up and dissconnect it from the stock cat and find out if you throw a cel if so then put it back together, but when I replaced my header I turned it on and it was very loud and sexy sounding in my opinion. I dont remember seeing any cels when I did it but who knows.

Quiet? Have you listened to this engine from OUTSIDE the car? It's anything but quiet....especially with an intake and a RH. You don't even have to delete the exhaust.

Run it with an open header and it's gonna sound like crap. Seriously. Not to mention you're asking for trouble from your local police by doing that.
