Default Header question

Hi guys sorry for the newbie question as a way to first introduce myself. Anyways I currently own an ITR that is pretty much bone stock with the exception of a J's intake. Now I have come across a JDM ITR header for an amazing price. My question is will there be any negative consequences if I put this on and keep my stock exhaust? I have heard that with aftermarket I/H/E on ITRs that the car runs a little rich but will this really be much of an issue since I will only have two of the three?

No issues other than getting the cat to fit the 2.5 header.

youll just be going from a 2.5in collector to a 2.25 cat and exhaust. you wont be able to do this unless you get a new catalytic converter and one that goes from 2.5in inlet to a 2.25 outlet if you want to keep the stock exhaust. you might as well just upgrade the whole exhaust system if youre moving up to a 2.5in collector header. just my opinion though

Thanks for the quick replies guys. For those of you that are running an aftermarket exhaust what types of catalytic converters do you recommend?

You should also look into JASMA.

Youve never heard anything bad about Carsound? Thats surprising.

I have an SMSP cat myself and have been very pleased.

If I didnt already have the SMSP I would definitely get the JASMA one though.
