Default huge problem?

alright you better get comfy before you read this haha

my friend has a crx with a 91 ls non vtec swap the car when he bought it was boosted with 240cc` injectors 25 pounds of boost and no tune so it was wrong to begin with then the head gasket blows so he tears it apart gets it back together then for some od reason the seals go in the turbo (ebay) thats why hahah but he bought a new one and sent it out to get tuned... the car was firing on 1 cyl. 3 injectors stuck open so he buys dsm 450cc`s flow tested worked fine then they rewire the whole motor cause it was miss firing but on the dyno the car is running on 3 cylinders at low rpm`s and once the turbo starts building boost all 4 cylinders fire and the motor is in danger of blowing and the ecu isnt throwing and codes ANYONE do you have any idea this is the worst hassle ive seen in a car in my whole life ?

how do you know that it is only running on 3 cyl and then all 4 when you get into boost? i mean, it would be kinda hard to determine that.

I would bet a good amount of money that you have a spark plug wire that is busted.

I just worked on a 89 hatch that idled like a subie (figuratively) but when it would get to higher RPM it would run fine, no bogging or missing. I would check all your spark plug boots that go into the tube, I would bet thats why it runs on 3 cyl at idle and then kicks into 4, because it's arcing off the spark plug tube in the valve cover.

Just start the car and pull the plug wires out one at a time and see if there is a noticeable change in how the motor runs, the bad one will not change the way the motor runs, but if it's good, the motor will sputter and almost die. You will hear the difference. I would start there.

the car is at hybrid dynamics and theyve tried multiple sets of spark plug wires, dizzys, ecus, put in all new motor wiring, new injectors, complete engine leak down test, boost leak test, compression test, made custom injector sub harnesses. and when they pulled injector clips only one of the cylinders made it die, the rest just changed the revs very little, so in vacuum it only has one strong running cylinder but I will call today and ask them about the plug wires

the guy before me didnt block off the egr right, therefore exhaust was getting into the IM and it was choking on it, when the throttle opened and boost came in the fresh compressed air helped it run good, and it was never ran on 25psi guys, idk why jake said that, my motor has stock internals it woulda blew in a second with that much boost...
