Default Boost or Spray

If anyone could tell me how much you think a stock d15 or d16 block could take under wet shot or how much max boost it could take that would be very helpful in to finding which way im going to go.

Probably be better in the forced induction area. And i think it depends more on your budget. Usdm d15 can't handle as much as the d16. Many people think a d16 with headstuds is good till 250hp turbod. Idk about nitrous. Google can probably find you your answers.

u can put it on a 50 shot. I wouldnt go higher than that though. The stock bottom end of a D16 is good for 200WHP about. then you risk the rods giving out.

Hp not PSI breaks motors, stock d series are fine up to 220whp, ppl run up to 260 and still fine,

somehow i seriously doubt that. It must have been a SUPER SMALL turbo. 8k on a stock head? Very stupid, idk how he didnt blow the head or spin a bearing. The bottom end isnt made to go to 8k, the head isnt made to go to 8k. It will have valve float after 7600. The bottom end cannot safely handle more than 200-220 WHP. People have taken it higher but its a huge risk and you really need a great tune and alot of prayers. 22PSI though? On a stock motor, he would be making close to 400WHP if its a normal sized T3 turbo. Which would be double the threshhold of the motor. So chew on that?

had to be a pretty small turbo To be making 300HP on 22PSI. Thats still pushing it really hard on a stock motor.

the guys over at d16turbo say:

the stock sleeves on the d16's are good for anything under the 400bhp line, (keep it safe under 350)

the stock rods/pistons are good until 250 bhp, if your pushing them that far, they'll give out eventually.

its turbod16. And ya 220WHP = ~250BHP.

U can push stock sleeves to 400WHP without issues usually.
