OEM endlinks and sway bar hardware?
So i got a sway bar kit for my car and my car doesnt have a rear sway bar. And it calls for the brackets from the oem sway bar and the stock endlinks. I searched around found endlinks but not the hardware to mount the rear bar... Can anyone help? Oh and the car is a 94 hatch eg
Thanks
Thanks
you will need a subframe reinforcement kit.(ie. beaks.asr.etc) also your stock lcas dont have holes for the arb. so once you get those and what you previously stated you shouldnt need any more hardware because the endlinks will connect you to the arb and lca. the "beaks" kit will bolt the d brackets to the "body".
Depends on what sway he bought.
What sway did you buy? You should mention this kind of info when posting questions.
Do you mean it's the D-brackets that you need, if so -> dealer.
I guess it's only the EG6 that comes with rear swaybar, so is the rear subframe lager than the other EG's (like EK9 vs other EK)? If not, you can mount a EG6 sway without the need for a subframe brace.
Only if you'd buy an ITR sway you'd need a subframe brace (ASR
).

This setup has a relative thicker front swaybar. Most people would put a relative thicker rear swaybar. With this 26/17mm setup, like they say, you will get "neutral, predictable handling", so understeer. With say an Itr 24/22(23)mm setup you would have less understeer or in other words more oversteer, which is sportier.
Seems like everything you need is included. And you don't need a brace for this rear setup.

you should have a sway bar with that model.
i was assuming he had a non si hatch(due to him not stating it at that point). so the reason for needing the reinforcement kit is so the subframe doesnt tear because the non si.s do not have the "brackets" on the subframe like the si/ex in the 92-95 civics.
sorry about that i have a hotchkis kit on my jetta. got confused and i thought that say a 22mm or higher rear was strictly for racing applications? And i believe it did the holes are there for the brackets but i think the previous owner took it off to fit the exhaust. which i just replaced and it will def. fit.
Indeed, I think 21/16mm but I should check.
The only 'brackets' I know of are those that support the sway, they do nothing more:

Subframe brace is needed when going thicker than SI, usually an 22(3)mm ITR.

So this dude took of the rear sway for sake of his exhaust

And I think you will need those brackets to mount the Eibach sway, since it is meant to be mounted on the stock supports.

... I'm much to good
if this is a si version. the subframe is different than all other hatch versions. it has "brackets" built into the subframe..unlike the d/c/vx versions where there is open holes. ie you have to drill out one of the holes to mount the beaks kit.
Just checked my EPC and the EG6 does come with brackets.
Part nrs: 52317-SR3-010 and 52318-SR3-010.
That is why when mounting the ASR brace on the 6 you don't need to drill holes because they are allready there for the brackets to mount on, with lower models you must drill since they don't have the brackets/swaybar.
(this contrary to EK models which have in all models holes pre-drilled)

correct. lol.
Haha NP I was a bit confused there (myself) for a while.
It's only logical:
Facts:
- only EG6 comes with rear swaybar
- there exist brackets used on EG's to mount swaybar
Conclusion:
- EG6 uses brackets to mount swaybar
