Default help with oil connections on the turbo itself, already searched.

okay, between the turbine and compressor there are 4 holes. 2 of them are just round, places for bolts, (the bolts i have) and the other 2 look like they require flanges.

here are the 2 that are just bolts.

here is a picture of one of the flanges, which i presume to be the oil return flange

here is the oil return line fitting that connects to the oil return flange on the turbo ( i think.... am i right about this? )

here is the other flange, which i guess to be the oil feed flange, looks like it already has a gasket on it

and here is some sort of vacuum line, what do i do with this? i plan on converting this once-internal wg turbo to an external wg turbo, so do i plug up this fitting?

here are my questions:
1. what do i need to be able to connect the oil feed line to the turbo? right now it looks like i need some sort of flange to be able to screw in an oil line.

2. is the chrome tube shaped piece the oil return fitting? if so, can i just use a clamp on braided stainless hose for it (from turbo-performance.com)

3. what do i do with the other 2 holes, put the bolts back into them? they're pretty big holes!

4. what do i do with the vacuum line on the turbo?

thanks for reading all this, i hope i made it pretty organized so you can understand what i'm asking

the 2 flanges are for oil return, and oil feed. the other 2 holes are for watercooling. if u dont want to use watercooling with the turbo, then just plug the holes. the vacuum line on the side of the turbo housing is to connect to the external wastergate, but just plug it if u have an internal wastegate. you dont need a flange for the oil feed line just an npt fitting that screws into the center hole, then you can attach a steel braided hose to it. the silver tube thing gets bolted to the turbo, then you can run a rubber hose on the end of that to the oil pan anyway you like.

just a question... can u run the watercooling inlet/outlet open?

the vacuum line on the side of the turbo housing is to connect to the external wastergate, but just plug it if u have an internal wastegate.
i think it's the other way around... ie lil nipple on housing is for internal wastegate, and the external u can run off any vacuum source (i'm going to run mine off the fpr line)

You can leave the water ports open.

you dont need a flange for the oil feed line just an npt fitting that screws into the center hole, then you can attach a steel braided hose to it
the center of the oil feed hole has no threads though, is there someplace where i can get a flange for the oil feed that has female NPT threads?

also, last time, could someone please circle the bolts (in paint or something) i need to loosen in order to rotate the compressor housing?

thanks so much!

There's lots of places out there that have those little flanges, try these!

do your turbo a favor and run the coolant through it. its not that hard to do and youre turbo will love you for it

yah I want to do it but the turbo I have is used and it seems like it's a mission to get the water inlet fitting to come out and I wanted to get a new one (just to be safe). Also what's the best way to run the coolant lines to the turbo?
