Default Turbo Gs-R

Iv'e got a very important question for someone who really knows their stuff, what size turbo as in trim size (t3/t4 turbo) will be best for a gsr, as in not too much lag but allowing the turbo to continue to spool until the redline. I was looking into a t3/t4 (.43exh .46 comp. trim) low lag, start spooling between 2500 and 3500, but how long will it last. And what do you think the max horse is i can go with such a turbo. Its a garret turbo. I appreciate the help. Thanks.

depends on what u want...for strictly drag a T4 will be good haha full spool at 5000....but for the street a t3/t4 is great...however around a track try a mitsubishi 18g turbo, those have full spool at 4K, but make a bit less power than a t3/t4

Well this will be mainly for street use, i want it to be low lag, but for it to spool until the redline. Its a .43 ex and .46 comp housing. How long would such a turbo spool for, it is a t3/t4? Thanks

just go with the t3t4 that you have....i mean you cant exceed the stock bottom end's capablities, usuall around 250 whp to 340 whp dpending on fuel setup and timing...usually numbers like these require standalones.....if you arent planning on getting standalone and fuel or a bulit bottom end for turbo....than use the one you have...but in a year if you want standalone and possibly pistons and rods then you will exceed the tubos efficen. range....meaning a t3t4 generally makes more power at 9 psi then a bigger t4 makes at 9 psi......but then the t4 will make more power at lets say 15 psi then the t3t4...depending on turbos specs and ur setup...but you get the point either way u wont make anymore powerr then the stock issued rods pistons and sleeves will handle bottom line.

In about 6-12 months i do plan on rebuilding my bottom end and purchasing a standalone. I mean the turbo is supposivly good for 350-400 wheel power. (t3/t4 .43 ex .46 comp) What i am looking for is mid to high 12's with rebuilt bottom end and a standalone. I think this turbo will do that but i need to know what you guys with expierience think. Let me know. Thanks. Most importantly, will this turbo i have boost to the redline or will it loose effiecency early. Ifg it will what size housings would you recommend. Nothing huge but enough to have not a ton of lag but last to the redline. Thanks.
