Default How do you "Jump" a starter??

93 EX wont turnover checked grounds and battery everything is good. How do you jump the starter? Do you just get wire and touch the two terminals on the starter together? I did that and still nothing?? bad starter??

use jumper cables or similar guage wire. connect the B+ from battery to the small wire on the starter solenoid

what problems are you having?

If you use the screwdriver trick you have to make sure both connections no **** make good contact. Or get a wire and connect one end to the pos side of the battery and the other side connect to the ign wire on the starter. If nothing your starter is done and if it works your ign is not sending the signal to crank
