94 stock d16z6 weird problems
Well i'll give you what little background i have on the car. I bought it last week, in the ad it said it had an aem wideband, and all this other stuff that really didn't have anything to do with the motor. Well i got the car and it had the typical "idle problem" drove a couple hours to get it home, did some research about the fitv and the iacv. Replaced both of them after cleaning them up. The car still had the lumpy idle at start up. So i checked for vacuum leaks, couldn't find any. The car idles extremely low and nothing happens at all when i plug and unplug the iacv. i cant get my idle higher, but when driving around and i come to a stop it will just sit at either 1000-1200 no surging but if i put my foot behind the pedal i can lower my idle but it sits very very low almost dies. If i put ac on it dies unless i push pedal down. When i turn on my lights it will lower my idle pretty low as well. Also the aem wideband isnt on the car???? could that have anything to do with my problems? please help with anything you can im stuck. ima noob, any idea is better then what i have now
where is the maf, and the fuel coud cause the low idle, and what do i do about the iacv i hooked a good one up and it didnt make a difference when i plugged and unpllugged could it be a loose wire?
Is the CEL ON?
You seem to have two separate problems:
1) The throttle cable is adjusted too tightly. It should have 3/8" to 1/2" free play.
2) The IACV is not working. Is the port leading to the IACV inside the throttle body clogged with gunk? Is the IACV getting battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?

There is no check engine light on, but im thinkin he might of disconected those lights or something if possible i bought it off craigslist, thinkin it was a simple problem, i cleaned the iacv, and it sucks real hard from top hole when motor is running warmed up. and when i got the car the throttle cable had no slack at all, actually it was pulling a little imas go fix that right now.
When you turn the key to ON(II), the CEL should illuminate for 2 seconds and then turn off. Some unscrupulous sellers will disable the CEL to hide problems. This is usually done by removing the CEL bulb from the cluster. Also check for a cut CEL wire at the rear of the cluster or the ECU connector.
ok so the check engine light is on, i tried the paper clip thing and it didnt blink at all just stayed on, any suggestions
