95 Fog light problem. Searched.
Just installed my fogs yesterday. I wired them directly to my parking lights.
The passenger side works fine, however the driver side fog is grounding out. It is wired the same exact way as the passenger. It works sometimes, but once it touches something the wrong way, it blows blows the fuse out. The actual metal casing of the fog sparks. A couple of my friends said its' a common problem, I checked my grounds and they're good, as well as took the casing apart to check the ground inside the fog.
What they told me to do is put electrical tape and rubber washers in between the screws and the casing and mount but I'm afraid of a deeper electrical problem.
Any input is appreciated

reversed polarity?.... you made the casing of the light hot, instead of ground.......? possibility.....or THERE IS A REVERSE SOMEWHERE in the lamp housing that is causing the casing to become hot.......
Exposed wires were traced and covered.
I don't get the reverse polarity....the fogs were in a car right before mine and worked fine. That's the wierd part. But headlights worked fine even when the fog was on or when it grounded out.
Parking lights did go out though when it grounded and the fuse blew.

do you know the maker of the lights and the model of the lights you have? and did you install a switch and relay for the lights? and what color were the wires you tapped to feed the lights?im looking at the schematics for the car and theres nothing to that circut(parking lights, cir#19)
I believe they are just eBay lights. I'm not too sure. I really didn't look, I picked them up cheap.
The wiring is blue and black. The kid used gator clips to put them in with the parking lights. The same exact way he did on his old car which they were on, as well as his current car.
Edit: I'm not too sure what color the wires are that he tapped. It's raining, I'll have to check a little later
