Default Please someone hlep with an Ls swap

I am a noob in the game. I just got a Ls swap from my friend the only thing is that it is OBD2 and I have a 1994 Vx Honda Civic hatchback. What all would or do i need so that i can put this swap in my car. Thanks for you help in advance. I think it is a motor out of a 1997 Acura Integra and the motor i currently have is an D15z1.

Thanks

did the LS come with the wire harness? if so, its as simple as getting the right mounts, drop it in and get an adapter harness from Kenji. youd want to use an OBD1 LS ecu as well.

"IF" I'm not mistaken based on my experience, and you have the trans linkage, axles, motor mounts, wiring harness, then it should plug right up!!

I did one in my 94 EX and it was an obd2a LS. I can't remember, but 1 or 2 of the d15 motor mounts you can reuse, I would do a search on the motor portion to check which ones you need, I can't remember.

The harness and everything should plug up w/o any problems. If you don't have PS or A/C, then it'll make everything even easier. Just swap and drop.

One problem I did have was the exhaust manifold pipe underneath the oil pan DID NOT line up with the cat nor reach on my coupe, it may reach on your VX, but chances are, an exhaust shop is gonna have to cut your cat and twist it to match it up to your exh mani. And another was to be sure you use the LS throttle cable and radiator hoses. You'll have to use an adjustable hose clamp to get the hose to fit snuggly over your radiator.

Make sure you pick up and obd1 LS ECU(5spd). I believe that's all. Since you have a VX, you MAY have some wiring issues or may not....I didn't have any on my EX at all!

So i would use the OBD2 harness and then have to get a harness adapter for OBD 2 to OBD 1 and then use the OBD 1 ecu? Also use the radiator hose and throttle cable from an Integra also?

Yes use the obd2a harness. Its 2 piece design is the same as the obd1 Civics. Plug N Play! And yeah you could use the hoses, the Civic's hoses are too small in diameter, thats why u could use the Teg's and use an adjustable hose clamp. And use an obd1 5spd ecu. PnP! You won't need any adapter harnesses.
