Default eg b18b1 turbo or no2

im thinking about boosting my b18b or just throwing a 75 shot on it

well i dont know what will be better for my driving
i daily my car(50 miles a day)
and i want something reliable but want about 200whp out of it, i have a gsr tranny which i will swap out for b16a2 tranny for shorter gears
the car is quick as is but of course the boosted hondas will walk on me

whats a better setup. boost or no2
or n/a
i dont have alot of cash to spend

Nitrous is extreme cheap if you just want a quick 50whp... But even then if you want more you gonna have to get other supporting mods... If you got about $2500 to spend total you can turbo... You got some decisions to make...

i'd say turbo would be cheaper in the long run if you do it right. nitrous isn't "expensive" but it isn't cheap either. and you'd have to refill every time you went to the track, or drive hard, ect... with turbo, you'd have the power whenever, wherever you want it.

it's true you need refill the tank every time went to the track or drive hard but is not expencive one tank of 10lbs cost 60-80 dlls i use every friday and it lasts ime 2 months and each friday i race 4 or 5 times using in 3rd gear and turbo i liked but you need a lot of money to do turbo kit lot money, tunning a lot money extras(injectors, map, downppipe, etc....) a lot of moneyy soo you think

a basic nitrous kit is fun for about a month. Then you will feel like your at the wall your at now, wanting more power. Not to mention the COUNTLESS times you'll want to use it and go.... D@MN IT!!!
"Im out of NOSSS"
"I dont have my tank on!"
"I Left the tank at home!"
"They gave me a Horrible fill"
... and so on.

I love LS's, even more when they are boosted. I have several years of BOTH nitrous and turbo'd LS's, Id say go boost if this is a long term goal.

Nitrous has never really impressed me. I always associated it with the dbags i went to HighSchool with...build a turbo setup and never look back

ok guys since i know u guys have more experience, im going to be dding my car for some time and saving for a turbo kit,
how much power can i get out of this ls
no cel and 185psi across cylinders, should i do a leakdown test or no
i want my engine in perfect condition bvefore i throw some boost in it

im thinking 250whp is my goal, not alot but i can always up the boost if needed

what size turbo is good for for a dd
and will ls tranny be better than gsr or si when boosted or should i just keep the gsr tranny

this is going to be on stock internals of course

boost up that ls. i had a 215k mile ls motor last well over a year and 15k miles at 240hp and it still ran fine when i took it out. 250hp ls = awesome fun in a car.
