i need to get a test pipe to fit my headers w/ 2.5 in collector. I was just wondering if there was some place in the area where i could go buy one an bolt it on.

I live in CA and I got mine from SMSP.

 

I know that Valley Muffler in the city of industry has made them for customers in the past. However, with all the rigid smog restrictions we have, it will be difficult to find a shop that will do it for you. Also, I was always under the impression that even having a high-flow cat was illegal. I know that the vehicle code states something to the effect that any type of modification to your vehicle's factory cat/cats is a violation. I may be misinformed however.

 

that is true, and supposedly you cannot even replace the oem cat unless there is something wrong with it....

Hmm, well I believe all cops should be what you guys call "bastards" when it comes to test pipes.

 

 

if u call a lot of muffler shops, they say that they do not make testpipes for the fear of being busted by cops. However, if you take it down in person, and are serious with them, some of the shops will do it.
