Icon3 PLEASE HELP!! how to tell if my 95 civic ex has vtech or not and milage?

Okay i recently bought a 1995 civic ex that was advertised as havin vtech and 133,000 miles...Well i have tried hitting the vtech around 5000 rpm and i get nothing, the car does move quick but there is no difference in noise or how the car shifts... It has different headers on it, intake, and the valve cover says vtech...Now my title said 205,000 miles, so i figured there was an engine swap...But if i dont have vtech in it, then is it possible to just switch the valve cover and headers but keep the rest intact? I have a feeling i may have been fooled, and that they just switched the v/c and headers but still has the high milage...how can i tell for sure? the block reads D16z6....ANY IDEAS...the car still runs good, but i need to know what engine i have in order to get parts.

You have VTEC. VTEC is not like mad power yo!, particularly on a D-series.

Check your vtech fluid....(jk)

First insure that your check engine light isn't on. Perhaps its an ECU connection issue, clogged solenoid screen, oil level low, etc. Otherwise like it was stated your not really going to feel a huge lunge of power as it kicks in, your not dealing with a turbo here.

easiest way to see if you have vtec or not is when yur driving really fast past a group of people stick yur head out the window and yell mmmmmBAAAHH if they look at you like your cool then you have vtec. (this only works with the window down)
