Icon6 Quality cam gears?

I need to buy a set of adjustable cam gears. The no-name brands on eBay look good but when it comes to actually putting them on a motor I spent so much time and money building, I just don't trust them. I've come to realize that with an LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC build, you just can't use stock gears. I cannot line up the marks for the life of me! Its always off by a little less than half a tooth.

I've heard bad things about AEM gears backing out, so I've been looking at the Buddy Club gears. How are these quality-wise? Do any of you have experience with the Buddy Club gears? The gold ones look sweet!

Try to find the first generation Spoon cam gears (the ones made from factory gears). I couldn't find them in time for my build, but the newer style hasn't let me down.

the head was indeed milled. plus ls/vtec and b20/vtec timing is always a little bit off

The MFactory gears are great. If you haven't got them in yet, you'll see that the vernier system makes it really easy to set them up (assuming you're going to degree the cams).

Regardless of which cam gears you choose, make sure to use some blue (low strength) Loctite on the bolts when you install them. A little bit on the main snout bolt as well as the adjustment bolts will make sure you don't have problems with bolts backing out.
