Default Speedo Jumping all over the place

So my speedo tonight just decided to take a crap everytime i floor it. THen afterwards it just jumps around eveyr so often or just goes back to zero. I could be driving then itll jump up and down and sometimes zero.

vss going bad? wiring somewhere?

Check the fuse for the cluster, mine did this quite often for some reason, it was always that fuse

just checked fuse 15 not blown. but good to know thanks for that recall!

Does the motor stutter with it? If so, more than likely it is the distributor. The ignitor module goes out in them and they go all over the place. If not try the fuses. Or get a buddies dizzy to cross-reference.

Is the CEL ON? Might be a bad speedo or faulty VSS connector. Does the odometer also stop working?

rpms are fine, car doestn stutter.

i didnt check the odometer but will do tomorrow.

no cels either.

its probably the connector to the vehicle speed sensor. unplug it and clean out the connectors. it can get pretty corroded in there. mine did same thing, cleaned it, now it works good. vss is located on rear of tranny. plug goes in close to where the cv shafts come out of the tranny.

^that actually makes sense...when i did a swap that was a code i got but it went away when i tried to fix it. Ill pull it and clean it tomorrow.
