You can use it..But the expensive part of turbo isnt the turbo...its the manifold, lines, fittings, charge pipes..internals...and to my best knowledge, and probably everyone elses...TUNING.... Just be careful if you're new to FI....

I think much much lower than that...Maybe youll hit FULL boost at 3000-4000 rpms...I'm not sure..so dont mark my word on that. Depending on what else you have, you might hit boost even sooner...

Come on guys..help him out!

Dude..if its a full t04, then you probably arent gonna hit boost till at least 5k. Hell, Justin(blkDOHCsol) doesnt make full boost until around 4k with his t3/to4b. Just imagine a t4 turbine and compressor. What size are the housings??

Yeah what he said, we need ar and trim numbers to estimate when the boost will hit.

Hell even with a b20 I bet you won't see boost until 4500 rpm.

T04... hum can't remember that well but that sould be almost like the T25(some one correct me if i'm wrong) wait a minute what car is that turbo from?

anywho... that turbo should work well with a B16 or B20, but will spool much mor faste with the B20 that's for sure. Rebuilding it sucks, never did it but i'm guessing you would just send it into some company that re-builds it. Shouldn't be too bad on the wallet.

i'm going to be running a T04 as soon as it comes in (should be this week)
From what I know, this is a pretty big turbo and it will take it a while to spool up
I'm still looking at manifolds, but new = $900 or $525 for a race manifold w/ no a/c
i still dunno about it...

T04 wont spool till 5-6k on a small displacement motor. That .69 is your aspect ratio. Where does it say .69 a/r ? On yoru compressor or exhaust housing?

There is tons of info out there. I would not recommend installing a turbo until you at least have some clue about them.

So yeah, it's a late spooler! Look for it to spool at 5k! Not really worth if it your going to boost 7-8 psi, your better off with a t3/t4oe

what do u think, if i raise my redline up, will other things dictate the power curve other than this turbo? if it spools at 5k it should be able to provide alot of CFM through 9k right? will that make the motor keep gaining power past 8k or will the cams bring the fun to an end early? BTW is there any way this can be made into a hybrid turbo to reduce spool time?
