Tial BOV problem
I had an 11psi spring in my tial BOV and it wouldnt blow off so i had compressor surge so i bought a 9psi spring and it still doesnt sound like its blowing off and still sounds like compressor surge. what could be the problem? on my boost/vacumm gauge it reads about -21in/hg. Also my tial wastegate spring is a .4bar which is 5.80psi and im only reading like 4-5psi.
Do you have a separate vacuum line running to your BOV from your IM with no T's in it for other vacuum sources also have you played around with the setting screw, not sure if your BOV has one but I dont see why not.
where is the vacuum line running? 5psi is pretty low boost so some fluttering may occur, there is a difference between the two. can you post a video or sound clip? that would be helpful to decide what sound you are hearing.
As of right now i do not have a video or anything but im pretty positive it is compressor surge. it just sounds like a flutter noise. Yes i know 5psi is pretty low i plan to get a boost controller soon and up it to 8psi but dont feel like paying to get it retuned again for just 3 pounds.
honestly i think you are confusing flutter with surge, thats not the same thing. i think the bov is probably working fine. i would suggest giving the wastegate and bov their own 1/4" line with no tees

ill try giving them there own lines. is it ok to t the PCV and fuel pressure into each other so that i can give the bov and wastegate their own lines? also what is flutter then? i know compressor surge is when the BOV doesnt open and makes the turbo compressor spin backwards correct?
the reason i think its compressor surge is because when i get on it and shift or let off the throttle is when i makes that noise sounds like its comming from the intake off the turbo. ill first try to give the vac lines there own source first. and ill keep you update unless anyone has any other ideas
