ef brakes and suspension questions please look
i have a 90 civic sedan i want to change the breaks and put bigger and better brakes on it... i was told that the front knuckles and calipers from the 90 integra will bolt right on... if so then will i need to change my master cylinder also to the 90 integra or will mine do the trick.??? is this a signifigant upgrade?
You will need the DA master cylinder, brake booster, and the 40/40 prop valve to run the system properly and get the best performance out of them.
Also upgrade the back brakes from drum to discs from a DA, this will help your braking as well.

what will i need for the rear disc conversion hardware?? will i need the ebrake cable ?? what exactly will i have to do .. please try to be as detailed as possible.. this is my first time around for everything
You need the complete trailing arm assembly and e brake cables. be sure to use the ef toe and control arms. I would think that your gonna need the ebrake cables from a 4 door teg, or you could get the front and rear brakes from an EX model ef if you can find one.
you dont need the whole rear trailing arms, you just require the spindles in the rear in fact they use the same e-brake cables as well. main reason they sell the whole thing is because its about 10x easier to swap the whole thing out than to just swap the spindles.
yea i am just going to go to the junkyard... and pull what i need so you think it will be easier to just grab the whole thing from the junk yard right???? and your saying my stock ebrake cable wil do the trick???

Just did some more reading, the e-brake cables will work with the civics and crx's rear discs, but not the integras. So you will need to get a set of e-brake cables and the the trailing arms/brakes (if you want to save a couple bucks, just remove the spindles and take the rotors/calipers) dont forget the rubber line that goes from the hard line on the body to the caliper. You will also have to create your own mount for the ebrake cables since they dont mount in the same spot
so wouldnt it just be eaiser to get the disc brakes from the civic si or from the 4 door ex? with all hardware and cables?
